About Me

I blend strategy and creativity to turn ideas into meaningful digital experiences.

That’s where I step in as a

VISUAL DESIGNER
SOCIAL MARKETER
CREATIVE STORYTELLER

Hey there!! My name is Brynna Wright, and I am a Senior at Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYUI). I am studying Communications with an emphasis in Digital and Social Media and a module in Visual Communication. I enjoy photography, editing, and learning new design tools.

I hope to one day work in K-pop marketing or music marketing as a whole. My dream job is to become a social media manager for a K-pop group.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I think it’s important to find grounding in those you choose to surround yourself with.

Social Media: Current Projects

Scroll App Launch

This semester, I worked on the Scroll app launch in the Soapbox Practicum. Scroll is the school’s newspaper and has been around since 1905. I was on the marketing team for this project. The week before the app launches, we are releasing videos that will be played around campus. I broke the scripts into reels and captioned them.

Day 2 post

The goal of this post was to support the reel on how the clues work. I don’t have an actual link for the students to click, but I mentioned it in case students don’t want to watch the reel or are confused by it and need written instructions, which will be found on the Scroll website.

The Scavenger Hunt

These are some mock social media drafts I made for the release. The idea is that someone will be dressed up as Thor, the school’s old mascot, in a well-known location in Rexburg. The photo will be blurred, and there will be a simple clue that reads like an Amber alert. The social media posts will lead students to local businesses, and then there will be a more difficult clue to solve. The photos are from Pexels and were blurred using Photoshop.

Day 2 Post

The goal of this post is to direct students to a specific ice cream shop in town. The whole point of this scavenger hunt is for students to download the Scroll app, so I made sure to include that in my Call to Action.

Looker Studio

I worked for Action Motor Sports to analyze their data from their Facebook account.  I took the exported information and filled in the missing data, to then put in to Looker Studio. This is an opportunity that I found that they could market off of.

Social Media: Past Projects

Airbnb Post

I created a mock-up post for Airbnb on Instagram to showcase the various places travelers can stay.

I chose Airbnb because its Instagram does not have a specific call to action or hashtags, but still does well for itself at 6.7 mil followers. An example of the lack of call to action is one of its captions, which said, “No wifi needed.” This goes against a lot of what I have learned in classes. I found this fascinating, so I wanted to experiment with recreating their style. This type of caption works because of Airbnb’s established reputation.

In the caption, I comment on this with Airbnb’s message of helping people belong anywhere.  The photos are from Pexels and edited in Adobe Illustrator.

Jellyfish Sticker

For this project, I wanted to tell people about myself, while also challenging myself creatively. If you click on the picture, you will be directed to my case study, where I go into detail about the different struggles I faced with the tentacles on this sticker. This was created with Adobe Illustrator.

Baseball Animation

I wanted to create an animation that told a story of victory between two sports I love.  If I were to go back and change something, it would be to show the arms more, because it took me a while to get the arm movement correct. I even had to record myself swinging a foam stick. To learn more, click on the image, and you will be redirected to my case study. I created the assets in Adobe Illustrator and animated them in Adobe After Effects.

Panning

When I learned about panning, I got really excited and wanted to try it. It took me quite a few tries to figure out the correct camera settings to get the car still, but I figured it out while keeping the background blurred. In LrC, I edited the background to be a bit more blurred to make the car stand out.
